I have been working on a new project over the last several weeks.
Inner Wellness has had a good run but now it is time to close this chapter of my life and open a new one. When I started this blog, I was at a transition period in my life. I had just moved back to the United States. I didn’t know where my life was headed or what direction I wanted to follow. Now, I know all of those things.
I have grown tremendously in the past few months, so I thought it was the perfect time for something new.
Check out my new blog.
I owe it all to my friend Jesper for making my new blog possible.
I am at the airport in Stockholm. My flight leaves early in the morning so I am staying the night in the hotel airport tonight. See you back in America 😉
Hans has been busy emptying out our savings account while I am away.
He bought us a new car!! A 2006 Kia Spectra with low mileage.
It looks very clean and the style is pretty nice too. I mean its no Jetta (my dream “family” car) but it’ll do 😉
Hans also bought a new mountain bike.
“The only difference between boys and men is the price of their toys.”-Hans’ life motto.
It is even better than Christmas morning in Sweden today!!!
We are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take some amazing photos now with our new SLR camera. It’s a Canon EOS 450D- the Swedish name.. and it’s called a Rebel XSi in the US.
I am off to go play with my new toy 😉
Sweden must have known that I was arriving today.
The first real snow of the winter came in last night, and it’s still going strong.
Hans’ mom is an amazing cook, she could rival the best. The place settings were remarkable.
It was snowing outside, the candles were lit and Haleigh was falling asleep at the dinner table, err.. well maybe not the last one but I was really trying to keep my eyes open. I have never been able to sleep while traveling so in 27 hours, I haven’t slept. This girl is ready for bed! Before that, here is a close up.
Helena prepared salmon soup with potatoes and carrots with a side of good european bread and a glass of red wine. Ah, bread… I am so happy to be home. (Well, my second home)
The salmon was moist and flavorful, much more taste than the stuff we call salmon in the freezer section. It came fresh from Norway, sooo good!! I eat so much salmon when I am in Sweden.
Of course, I indulged in a few of my favorite candies after dinner.
Geisha- hazelnut creme chocolates.
Now, this girl is hitting the pillow.. hard!!! zzz…..

I am ready to leave for the airport!
If you haven’t yet, you should check out Hans’ guest post. See you in Sweden on Tuesday! xoxo
Yesterday was the perfect way to spend my last day in Tulsa. I was surrounded by my family, and that was all that I needed.
My mom’s side of the family arrived at our house around noon to a lovely spread of appetizers and sweets.
My mom prepared taco soup for every one. It is a weight watchers recipe so the first time I tried it, I was apprehensive but it is dang good and spicy!
I also made chocolate pie for dessert.
I wasn’t feeling like indulging in a heavy dessert so I opted for some orange chocolate instead.
Then it was time to exchange gifts! I got a lovely black sweater from mom that I immediately had to wear.
We talked for awhile until it got dark. Then it was time for Christmas lights!
A local church puts up an array of amazing Christmas lights every year.
There are thousands of colorful lights everywhere! The evening was well spent.
We ended the evening at McAlister’s with broccoli cheese soup.
After dinner, I headed over to a friend’s house to catch up since she has been away at school and told my dad bye. I was happy yesterday. Truly content and happy. I will be sad to leave Tulsa and my family. But I am so excited to see Hans and to be in Sweden again.
