Good morning blog world! I have a spring in my step today.. it is clear skies with a high of 75, please stay this way Charlotte.. No more 80 degrees!! It’s October for goodness sake. Anyway, I had planned my long run for this morning since there is a chance of rain for this weekend. I just wanted to get it out of the way instead of trying to wait for the storms to pass all weekend. When I started out, I thought to myself that there was no way that I could finish. My legs felt so heavy. I had to stop to walk a few times in the beginning but I finally found my ‘running groove’ and I just kept saying to myself “just keep swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.. lalalala.” no joke.. that little song is what got me through my ~6 mile trail run. And ya know what? I finished! I felt so slow the entire time but when I looked down at my watch, I was actually faster than on Sunday? What the..? That doesn’t make any sense but I am not complaining. Onto breakfast! Me likey the sweat pants.
I had prepped some overnight oats before I left for my run-1/3 cup oatmeal with 1 container of 0% greek yogurt. I didn’t know how they would turn out since they only sat for about 2 hours but they were just like if I had made them the night before. I added a 1/2 a banana, a sprinkle of TJ’s Maple Pecan cereal, and 2 tbsp of trail mix. I was really craving Starbucks’ Pumpkin loaf for breakfast so I may be baking a batch this afternoon 😉 Speaking of pumpkin, like my new bowl? I couldn’t pass it up, it’s adorable and only $2.
I promise there is oats under there. See.
What is your favorite Disney movie? I would have to say it’s a toss up between Pocahontas and Beauty and the Beast for me, and of course.. my favorite newer Disney movie is Finding Nemo 🙂
